Every single time I turn on the laptop. Takes forever. Pain in the arse.

Extreme winds. I’ve been awake since 2AM unable to get back to sleep due to the possible danger. The van shakes and the noise is constant and extremely loud and menacing. No way I’ll get back on the road if it’s like this.

Right now I just need the van to be safe, not overturned, no branch through it or tree crashing on it.

  • Clyde Colours And A Gas Bottle

Warm nigjt due to the cloud cover which threw up brief sunrise colour, then a mongrel day. Staying in the area for follow-up tests regarding the stubborn UTI, and now a storage issue to attend to. Could be stuck until Sunday.

Not enjoying the days for that reason. I’ve lost sight and sense of the travel potential. And other homeless people in the region are getting me down. While we don’t speak, me avoiding it, there’s a shared connection and it’s very dark and heavy. They’ve been visited by the police, a linkage that I do not want. Society’s structure, prejudices and biases, all understable, are potently visceral to me. The public, even me, should feel safe. (Lately I haven’t so much: authorities included with the uninspired homeless.) Yet there’s no place for the homeless, as well.

I do need to move around, and since locations are limited in any region I have to move regions.

On the plus side, I have my set-up sorted now – provided I can get away with a hot gas burner in public – and the coast which I once considered cold is mild compared with up on the tablelands, so the weather moderated by the ocean is welcome.

  • Valley Of The Doomed

    Enter here:

That’s a typical subject for landscape painters, but here to the east of Riverside Park it’s a little eerie. Because this section of floodplain valley has plenty of die back foliage, and the whole place is reminiscent of the suicide valley in Japan.
