  • Avoiding Quaama Stalker

    Because of the stalker.

    4.10 PM

Having a coffee under shade trees next to the Bega River at the Bega reserve.

Another deadshit day but I did get to see some things. Sore skull so I’ve got a problem.

First, after the horrible incident of the stalker waving creepy creepy at me – like a horror movie this – I headed south and showered at a gravel storepit nortb of Bega.

Then saw all the heatwave warnings for Nimmitabel and up there where I’m hoping to go.

So couldn’t do that. Knew I had to stay away from stalkervilke.

Drove Bega to Tathra, not too far and spectacular. Extremely windy on the coast. Lunch at Tathra.

No idea where to stay. Thought I’d maybe find a spot. Drove to Tura and stopped at the shops. Got new scratchies for old $10 win.

From there looking for spots all the way to Bega. Possible spots across from shops and at a junction on that Bermagui to Tathra road north of shops (Harvey Norman Woolies).

Great spot on highway- travelling south from Bega, double lanes up a hill, then next a turn off left with possible spot at the sth side of the junction, then the great spot is on western side around a few bends. The spot is a cleared crescent that goes back away from the highway a fair bit. Trees shrubs on border and possible views west. Quite high elevation.

When arriving in Bega I drove all around, all under and over and criss-crossed it, went to the Snowy Mtns Turnoff area of dust and wind and 3way traffic and a truck had it filled up, back up to the lookout and sought a spot I could sleep, none nowhere, so thought I’d get out of sight by the river. If I get in trouble I’ll explain the stalker and show him my head, because I do have to have it looked at in the hospital.

It’s hot, but I found shade. I’ll take each minute through the late afternoon as it comes. Hopefully I don’t get in trouble.

Also, I don’t want hoodlum kids harassing me here.

Don’t know what to do if they do.

    Broga-Bega-Tathra

A lot of revved up 4WDs and Utes with boats and camper rigs. Macho bullshit aggro in Summer heat everywhere. Their honey pot.

Good to get out of the region.

    8.05 PM

Still anxious and agitated about the stalker incident. Had dinner, very hot, had a towel wash just now, not sure how tonight is going to go. If I get through without getting fined, I have to start up and move early.

The police went past and didn’t stop, but it’s not their jurisdiction. Morning council rangers on patrol are likely the problem, I presume.

My skull is too sore for this to be from banging it. Something is wrong. Not sure I can go to hospital with my medicare card. The shit situations compound.

But I have a roof albeit tin and grass tonight:

Across the road on the other side behind trees and bush is the Bega River. People walk by, across the road.

  • The Honking Creep Waved

So it’s focused on me. At 8.05 this morning I was in Dry Creek rest area and saw the white car exit Quaama He honked before the exit, I whistled and waved come here, ge turned south and I was pointing accusingly hard at him, and through the window I saw an outstretched hand towards me waving.

Absolutely creepy and sick and very, very troubling.

    12.05 PM

I’m sitting in Bega hospital, had a coffee as a treat, slightly cooler, and still very shaken up by the Quaama Stalker. Horrible Horrible prick thinks he can honk me. He honks for an extended time, every time he goes past. It is deeply disturbing. For days I’ve been thinking about referring him to the police.

I don’t ever want to go back to Quaama again. He ruins a perfect place. I wish I could sort him out personally and get him to fucking stop.

I thought about going to the General Store and asking if he’s a stalker for others, or leave him a letter. But I’m vulnerable there at night all alone and a Quaama brute might not sympathise with my situation.

I need evidence anyway to go to the police.

OTHERWISE, my head aches badly. It’s damaged, and in the hospital mirror it is bad.

There’s a heatwave up at Nimmitabel where I wanted to go. Extreme heat for another 7 days.

This is a real problem time. I thought it would be easier after today but not for another week.

And I am really feeling the horrors of being homeless. I really do nit have anywhere to go.

I have to find somewhere to sleep. While here, I should get my head looked at.

    Shit night. And bad mosquitoes.

    10.10 AM

At Dry Creek Quaama. Just got water again.

Wondering what to do about the

    Hillbilly Honker Hassle

I’ve had a gutful of the bastard. Every morning he honks going north then honks at ne going south. I’m the only one there.

I think it might be the stickybeak bastard who pretended to care but had to stick his nose in, literally. The fuck from south of the rest area.

I want it to stop. Tomorrow I think I’ll go follow him – pretty sure it’s that dickhead who gets the paper from the general store every day – and get him to stop.

Disturbing, every morning, twice, that I stay here. Doing it last visit as well.

Get a life you nuisance fuck!!!!

(I wanted to paint today but he’s put me off from being here )

    4 PM

Tired and cranky and rudderless. To Cobargo to Bermagui. Faffed around. Ended up going out to the northern wall, with views of Gulaga and differently to town and headland. Where there be seals. Then drove and walked ans saw a marlin hoisted amongst fuckwits which an hour earlier had the Pacific Ocean as its home and playground. Utterly repugnant, the scene. Shot it for disgust. Then to Cuttagee, the headland and sandy creeks.

    All in photos below.

Back at hilltop Quaama and preparing for maybe a last night and leaving before the honking arsehole tomorrow.

    7.15 PM

Big problem. This thing. Ground shakes when it idles. I hoped he’d pull away. But he turned off the engine so when he goes it’s going to be 15 minutes of torture at least while he warms the engine. Could happen anytime between now and 8AM.

    Fuck.

Absolute bonus if he goes before I fall asleep. They really should be separated, and trucks banned from car stops.

And some homestead has doof doof music rampaging through the air.

    7.40 PM

Champion! He fired her up and left. Decent driver turned off the engine when others don’t. Much appreciated mate.

    All alone again. Fabulous.

    Night sky right now.

    4.25 PM

Terrible day. Skull been very sore. Into Bega for Betadine, no relief. Piercing pain.

Took shots of Bega River at Bega. Heatwave dead still. Me in a painful stupor. Drove around aimlessly.

Back at Hilltop Quaama at 2.30PM, some wind, panadol and a sleep.

Cooler now. Not a good day. Still sore.

    8.15 PM

Sun down behind hills and gold sky to pink further away. A caravan and young couple up near the seats, could send someone close to me if they’re looking for a spot.

Highway been extremely busy but starting to quieten now.

Tge wind has stopped a couple of hoursvago and it’s sweltering hot and airless now. Part of the 5 day heatwave.

One more night tomorrow and the coats is, people say, going to have fewer travellers. Getting close to getting through this. It’s been a struggle. Having no one here at hilltop Quaama has been a godesnd when that’s happened. Lucky to have found it.

My head has eased up but I’m bound to have trouble again on the pillow. Got panadol if I need it.

    Through the curtains:
