This I guess is the expected cold wet put-off. It’s okay in the van until the seal is breached: the need to go outside. Toilet, sanity, food.

Overcast, no batteries are charging. 4 watts maximum, all day yesterday.

But it hasn’t put me off. Stuck in a house can send me nuts; stuck in that pretend place I had was, I think (now at least), worse. This has the air of adventure about it, which may not be long sustainable, but mostly I am not at the mercy of extremely ignorant individuals. I have control and my decisions don’t have to involve them.

Overall the relief comes from the horrors that thousands are experiencing further morth.

In comparison this is a dream run.

Agenda today: stay calm, minimise wetness in the van, aim for a shower, decide according to the weather later in the day as to what the heck I’m going to do.

Staying inside to wait out whatever rain may develop. Should be okay on the weekend, certainly by Sunday, but a dream run considering the living nightmare up north.

The trees in Canberra are stunning. The foliage is past turning, but that is part of the gripping sight and imposing presence. Awesome. Some of the greens, too, are magnificent.

  • Eyes Today

Every chance I’ll get an injection into the right eye, or possibly more laser in the left, and maybe both.

Thankful for a good sleep and it not being too cold. Not having a base to return to however adds extra dimensions of risk, and anxiety. I don’t feel quite right, but I never wanted to return to 476 anyway, when away. In another sense, then, I feel liberated.

Quite a lot of rain forecast for tomorrow. Could be a long day. Worry about it as it comes.

The scary thing now is organising a warm shower here in the carpark, as I normally do. But shit it’s colder, by a lot, this time.

UPDATE. 5PM. Had laser treatment in my right eye, beginning that process (with the intention of limiting the need for injections.) Passed my driving vision test, thankfully.

Water fill station at Westfield shops in Philip not far from the hospital. So good to find.

But first I filled up in a scungy one nearby.
