That’s a bloke fossicking ten feet from the van, with a metal detector. Fair dinkum.

Earlier, breakfast on the north side, shower at the pavilion, a bit of shopping and then new tyres.

Then, tired, (up since 3.30AM), not wanting to, I pulled into the Batehaven lookout and ploughed through yet another edit on my response to Australia Post.

Two hours, to three. Got it to a point I think is the correct balance and sent it. It’s not a weak letter. Not sure how it’s going to bounce.

Anyway, very pleased it’s done. Load off.

Waldron’s is filling up these days. Things are going to change.

Full on wind storm all afternoon. Car shaking.

It always worries me I’ll get a branch crashing onto the solar panels, expensive and unable to drive, or through the body in which case I’m living on the street. I’ve done that before; this time it would be an end run.

We never had winds like these here, when I was a kid. This is a very upset and enraged natural realm. Very unhappy.

    Australia Post Update

Spent yesterday writing the draft and today making edits, for four hours today, three yesterday. It’s long. It’s brief, though, for the trouble they’ve caused and the vulnerability they’ve made of my life, privacy, finances and identity.

I think I’ve got the approach, line and tone right. But I’m also under no illusions as to their competence or that anyone really gives a shit.

Cooler morning. Breeze picking up in the seconds since the shot. Might be rain coming with it. Have to get bureaucratic weight off the shoulders today.

Interesting search yesterday, relevant to Australia Post’s failed mail redirection. It’s a criminal offense to open someone else’s mail. And it’s not permissible to throw mail in the bin.

    UPDATE 3.48PM

Thoroughly adore cold weather, (provided my hands are warm or from disease damage they don’t function). Been very cool all day. Brilliant to shower hot in cool drizzle.

Since heat boots me out of the van or tires me, I bit the bullet and hammered out another draft to Australia Post. In sectioned form, laid out, they’re a mess. Didn’t enjoy it, but pleased to get it down. Will add and edit tomorrow.

Nothing day, other than that. Had a bit of a walk: back now at the creep rest area.

    Cool evening. Absolutely champion.

Today I realised how our society is structured in relation to fitting in.

What matters isn’t how hard you worked, or what you achieved, or what you overcame, or even who you are.

What matters in our society, and locally whereat you’re excluded, is what you’ve got.
