When I don’t have time to properly format a post. Could involve any topic.

  • 2.30AM Onwards

One of those ones. Too awake to sleep again and too tired to trigger it.

Been commenting at NYT instead. Will have to sleep during the day sometime.

Cool and heavily overcast. But winds coming, it seems. Possible rain.

    12.15 PM

Shower was superb and uneventful. Only one overnighter remaining, nearby.

Worked variously on the five, progressed them. Coffee now, zombie from little sleep and a soporific rest area day. No rain yet but tiny spits.

    3.55 PM

Just realised I made a mistake. I had the choice of spots and didn’t move. Now I realise someone could pull up right beside me where I am,bif it’s busy.

The van bloke with a dog, trying to be permanent, is a problem. His dog barks for long periods, and now he has mates in a tent next to him, drinking and running a fire.

Some lovely people in a rooftop next door don’t need that. It’s these attitudes that need to be monitored by the authorities. I feel sorry for the women staying here.

I couldn’t get comfortable going for a walk, which I needed to do, because I didn’t want to leave the van unattended. Big drawback about this place. It’s not the best, really, for staying three days as allowed.

Had a shuteye but not sure how beneficial. Hope it rains and keeps these blokes quiet tonight.

Narooma doctor. Quick. In, rush through test results, out. Not the best news.

To Bodalla SF and scored a spot, second from the top, north.

Keen to get away from the coast, back and forth to my or the car’s patching up. After Monday, I can.

Hot and dry today. Tired, up at 4AM listening to thr Supreme Court.

Was going to paint, but tended to admin instead. Feeling down. Tomorrow is a new day, but it’s not like I’m succeeding.

  • Wind!

Weeks and months of it. Madness wind. Unhappy. Nature in distress.

It stopped around midnight, but I was comfortable and the tent bloke didn’t turn up. Big difference. The creep has been in Moruya, too,; massive difference. The place is lovely again, how it used to be.

Good bush shower by the river then upstream to paint. Work was okay but the conditions absolutely atrocious. Hot, mad wond, and assaulted by flies with no let up whatsoever. A torment.

Then to the park to sew, groceries, and sewing here in Waldrens. Lots done on the black blanket dash cover for the new windscreen.

Glad the day is over, most unsettling and disturbing, but productive.

    Only worked on four.

Narooma tomorrow to see the new GP after blood tests.

These colours and the topography always captivate me.

New black fabric over the dash. Out with the old.

That’s all I could find at the time – stiff car mats – which I put in when I installed the dashcam because it was affected by reflections. Those were cut and glued and looked atrocious but the view was infinitely better.

Today I booked the car in for a new windscreen, since I can’t really drive to Canberra with it as it is, or much anywhere, and it’s probably illegal.

So I called into Vinnies and at a total fluke I scored a soft blanket that’ll do the job brilliantly and is much nicer. I finished sewing the hem an hour ago. Later I’ll add the ventilator holes and sew them.

End of an era for the old stiff floor mats over which I’ve done a lot of critical looking, eye bleeds and all.

And before that I worked on all five paintings but got threatened with rain. It’s been horrible mongrel strong wind weather again today.

I’ve parked up the road from the obnoxious disruptive tent bloke, who’ll probably arrive within the hour.

Time to enjoy my own headspace until then.
