Long day. Sugar levels were in range but it’s too early to know what’s going on. Woke at 2.15AM and stayed awake. Out of sorts for several reasons.

Went to shower upstream at Moruya but hurtled towards a low level.

Got it in order, went to Waldrens to sleep in a heat wave but ripped off the sensor. K fixed me up with three packs of sensors. (Equals three in total.)

Terrible days ahead, possibly five, of extreme heat. That plus tourists is what I want to get away from. Car service Tuesday and then I’m out of here. Can’t come quickly enough.

Missed a log day. Spent it with C, after a Narooma shower. Then drove to Moruya and D from Tuggeranong arrived and chatted with him.

Three lovely people in three days – more talking than I’ve done in years.

Very overcast today, which will do nicely.

UPDATE

Worrisome portent of the next weeks, a bloke turns up at the quarry then sets up breakfast all with his radio that vwhere I was nearby, sounded as relentless droning.

My tolerance is the lowest of anyone I know, sadly, and I had to quietly start the car and move.

Too much at a loose end, showered at Moruya pool then drove to Batemans Bay after speaking with M about increasing my insulin to include pre dinner shot.

Back to Waldrens.

Mongrel day. Realised the car is undriveable tomorrow because I hadn’t renewed insurance and didn’t have the papers – gone to daddy’s boy dangerously. Was able to do it by phone using old papers.

Tried for a couple of hours to paint but it was horrible hot and windy. Chucked it in and rested, then a walk in wild fresh southerly howler through the bush and by the lake.

Going to be a close call sugarwise with late cooking dinner.

A four hour pain in the arse windows update through the morning and lunch.

Lovely girl next door who writes, and a dog. G and Galaxy (female dog).

A better night hopefully, last one here probably.

This time of year the gums shed bark; the place is swamped in all sizes.

Wild burl and great colours.

Back to Bodalla State Forest and got to do a bit of work on these. Looks like rain coming.
