Achieved nothing but learned a lot. Shower in Queanbeyan then to Gungahlin which is a long way. Spoke at length with Anaconda staff who, like at Fyshwick, are basic trained and can lead you astray, because I went up the road to Battery World and learned a lot more. A lot of it is impossible to square and I’ve no clear decision on what batteryvto get.

Lost my voice from chest stress problem, whatever it is.

At Brooks Hill totally unsure what to do.

Cooler now, so going to enjoy it,also for now alone.

Lots of frog noises, and critters, during the night. Wasn’t disturbed but some vehicles came and went of which I was aware and probably woke me.

I heard human noises and switched on a side light. Glimpsed a bloke walking away from the tables holding what was likely a plate.

Awake now to see and hear the sunrise.

    6.05 AM

It’s getting light a lot later. Went for a sunrise colour shot through the window, in bed doing NYT, and a bus or truck pulled up in frame mid trigger.

    8 AM

Waiting for the 20 minutes if insulin absorption to do its thing, after a shower at the Queanbeyan centre. A treat, a break from relentless cooking of the same thing every day.

Not feeling great. I wake each morning with chest problems and today too constricted to talk properly. Be alright once I get going.

    6.25 PM

At Brooks. Early shower at Queanbeyan and maccas. Out to Belconnen Battery World, great guy. Got a picture on lithium batteries, and prices.

Back to Anaconda and the very strange staff attitude due to strange management. The lithium batteries there price wise are attractive. Solves the fridge F1 constant problem, although it’s better using a different plug outlet.

Very hot. Dead tired all day.

Working out what to do. Might get the batteries, pay them off, and hide the replacements in a drain to take back to the coast. But that would require installing them and there’s a bit involved.

Some cars in and out. A quiet one in the parking bay. Old homeless guy not here.

Always in full sun at this place. Hot van, sticky sweaty, until sunset.

    Sitting in Moruya wondering wtf.

Good sleep at Waldrens, shower by the river sth side.

    To do what?

Probably going towards Canberra and later maybe Tumut. Got the homeless “feeling lost” blues. Unpleasant.

Have to instead realise I’m fortunate to go and do this. But for who for what?

    …morning Turner colours didn’t send/arrive earlier.

    12.44 PM

Walked the Bay street to burn up time until lunch- couldn’t have it travelling- and looked at new fridges and batteries. Then lunch.

    Hot day.

Leaving this spot now and going up the Clyde Mountain. Clueless. Here goes.

    2.37 PM

After stopping at Braidwood, and legs needing to move, came out to the Shoalhaven campground. A nice ten or fifteen minutes and then A FUCKING GENERATOR.

The place has been mowed but it looks like permanents and a major noise problem every day.

    This place wouldn’t know respect.

The generator noise completely ruins the lovely valley and river surrounds. I’ll see what happens but in 20 minutes if it’s still bad I’ll go to Bungendore. Might go sooner.

    Arseholes. I’m out of here.

    3.35 PM

At Brooks Hill Bungendore. Very dry across the tablelands-I thought of the cool green grass and cold shade trees of Bega-and hot and unpleasant, if not foreboding.

Would have enjoyed very much a chilly night at Braidwood after the special sunsets up the Shoalhaven Valley. But those selfish pricks-I’m sure it’s the same ones still there-keep the generator going earliest stop after 9.30PM. Utterly untenable.

I’m pleased I got this familiar spot. How it is: drive around until you stop for the night, hoping.

    Evening at Brooks

    7 PM

Had a handtowel shower. Feeling good about making it up the hill. Not sure about anything else.

I’m the only one here. The old homeless guy isn’t here and it might be sad. I’m amazed he went this long. I recall him first arriving, guessing about 2 years ago. Some woman problems as he yelled fucking bitch and drank.

Not since then and kept to himself, except when his car didn’t start and asked for help.

He was a fixture and if I got here first O gave him my preferred spot because he liked it. He never said anything but I think he appreciated it.

Sometimes he comes a bit later, but usually he’s here by 4.30PM.

    Noisy highway.

Rain drops on the flyscreen backlit at Waldrens in the middle of the night.

    2.15 PM

That was lovely rain last night. I woke several times and didn’t sleep a lot but enjoyed it.

Shower by the river sth side and a lot of fog around.

To Broulee for more sensors. Water at the surf club. A bloke about 60 all full up with something says, “What do you think of OUR beach?”

    Stupid. I wasn’t in the mood. “Well, it’s everybody’s beach, isn’t it?”

“It’s OUR beach. We live here.”

“Ahhhh” I said as if to say I’ve found an idiot. He got the message.

To the Bay. Kmart for camp chairs. One for $40 was the right size and had a table. Been all around incl. Canberra for months, nothing good enough. For 40 bucks I thought I could store it if no good. At the checkout it charged me $25. Fantastic.

Dropped the old Kmart one at storage, and got rid of the worst backpack I’ve ever had. Would always roll around and open wide and fall over driving me nuts absolutely constantly.

    I’ll get one in Canberra.

    5.05 PM

Fell asleep snoring in the shade on the grass at Riverside Park. Was enjoying it and considering risking staying when the prick in the Coaster came hurling in and stopped 10 feet away. He’s the prick who had the radio going loud while he sat in the drivers seat listening to the footy. Horrible noise the other day. I moved away from him then later copped the bike rider.

Totally obnoxious, I moved away quickly.

At Waldrens, dinner almost cooked. Hot late sun per usual. 3 vehicles here.

Could get a vehicle up my arse, the way it’s parking. I’ll move forward if so.
