Since I wouldn’t have the space to set up the ladder and return the gas bottle to the roof carrier, I did it when I thought to do so at 3AM, knowing it would not be as cold as at around dawn. Glad I did.
(I took the gas bottle down in case I could use it to shower prior to eye treatment, but didn’t risk it, settling on a hand shower instead.)
Yesterday turned out to be penetratingly cold. Much more mild on the coast.
Treatment went well; might go back down today.

That’s the BOM reading here in Canberra at the moment. It’s actually quite lovely, although cold, as the sun has just burst forth.
Did I just waste $140?
Hope not. This is a photo of a repair job done at 1.30pm today. Sitting in the waiting room I didn’t get to see this beforr the guy came out and said it was done.
Prior to doing it I asked if he was confident it could be repaired. No problem.
Worst repair I’ve seen. Big name in windscreens, too, and advertise nationally a lot.
And tests to obtain boat licences.
