Spellbinding. There were three. One, lighter, sprawled on the rocks. This one snortled around and then got out, most ungainly, and then preened and cleaned up on the river bank.
The grower’s market had delivered a crowd to Riverside Park, 3 to 10 of them caught sight of the star and hurried to take photos.
Perfectly placid, it was magical.
But a bit more work on it today.
Riveside breakfast again. North Head Drive blocked off makes ut an endpoint destination, with which very few bother.
Very cold again this morning. Must have been windscreen cracking up near Bungendore.
I’ll miss this cold weather, I know.
Start of my first painting since February 2025. The longest stretch without painting since 1987.
Just cheapie acrylics that don’t have the substance I utilise with oils, and in fact the first acrylics since the 1990s as I don’t like their limitations.
But they dry quickly and so now I am.
Did the experiment upstream Moruya in that lovely spot.
Got a way to go yet, but at least I’ve broken the ice.
