Shit night. And bad mosquitoes.
10.10 AM
At Dry Creek Quaama. Just got water again.
Wondering what to do about the
Hillbilly Honker Hassle
I’ve had a gutful of the bastard. Every morning he honks going north then honks at ne going south. I’m the only one there.
I think it might be the stickybeak bastard who pretended to care but had to stick his nose in, literally. The fuck from south of the rest area.
I want it to stop. Tomorrow I think I’ll go follow him – pretty sure it’s that dickhead who gets the paper from the general store every day – and get him to stop.
Disturbing, every morning, twice, that I stay here. Doing it last visit as well.
Get a life you nuisance fuck!!!!
(I wanted to paint today but he’s put me off from being here )
4 PM
Tired and cranky and rudderless. To Cobargo to Bermagui. Faffed around. Ended up going out to the northern wall, with views of Gulaga and differently to town and headland. Where there be seals. Then drove and walked ans saw a marlin hoisted amongst fuckwits which an hour earlier had the Pacific Ocean as its home and playground. Utterly repugnant, the scene. Shot it for disgust. Then to Cuttagee, the headland and sandy creeks.
All in photos below.
Back at hilltop Quaama and preparing for maybe a last night and leaving before the honking arsehole tomorrow.
7.15 PM
Big problem. This thing. Ground shakes when it idles. I hoped he’d pull away. But he turned off the engine so when he goes it’s going to be 15 minutes of torture at least while he warms the engine. Could happen anytime between now and 8AM.
Fuck.
Absolute bonus if he goes before I fall asleep. They really should be separated, and trucks banned from car stops.

And some homestead has doof doof music rampaging through the air.
7.40 PM
Champion! He fired her up and left. Decent driver turned off the engine when others don’t. Much appreciated mate.
All alone again. Fabulous.
