Lately I’ve been aware of worsening service towards customers and have some bad experiences myself.
I remember when dealing with customers was a primary part of business activity and the customer service aspect was a much more pleasant experience.
It’s not all bad of course but there’s an arrogance developing in attendants, and in some cases a flip: the customer has to pander to the attendant.
I think I’ll be heading to a quiet place today to write an email letter dealing with a particularly troubling matter for me. I paid for a car part and was told it would be in “in two weeks” and now, five weeks later, it isn’t. I was told on Friday last week that I’d be phoned with an update and that hasn’t happened either.
In this instance I’ve been treated as though I’m the cause of problems for enquiring. Not an apology from them about the delay.
Same with Australia Post lately.
It’s depressing when the paying customer’s politeness is met with arrogance and even nastiness.
Then at the hospital last night buying dinner the pushy young attendant promised something and didn’t do it, and if I didn’t check myself I would have had no dinner there and a raw eye condition unable to yet see, to go somewhere else.
“No problems,” he said. I’ve encountered this before, too .The attendant causes a problem and say, “No worries.”
EYES UPDATE
Had both yesterday. Laser treatment and an injection, left eye.
Slept well and it’s good this morning thankfully.
Have to move from the carpark because the inspectors are writing tickets. I had to get an exemption yesterday. Can’t today.
Bit shook up lately.

Two hours into a security update. It has downloaded the same two updates three times.
1.30 PM
Earlier wrote to the GM of the dealership. Good response, wait to see what comes.
Leaving now, the hospital ringing noise is too much for one more night. Back to Brooks Hill Bungendore.
